What if I cancel later — does my badge stay?▾
Yes. Your Compass Rose badge is permanent — it marks you as a founding member for life regardless of subscription status. If you cancel, you lose the locked Founder pricing on future engagements, but the badge stays on your account and your firm members keep their Crew badges.
Can I upgrade from Pro Founder to Firm Founder later — at the same locked price?▾
Yes, Founder pricing locks to your account, not just your initial tier. If you start as Pro Founder at $59/mo and later need Firm seats, you upgrade to Firm Founder at $96/seat/mo — the same Founder rate — rather than the standard $129/seat/mo.
What if Lodestar raises regular prices?▾
Your Founder rate is locked for as long as you keep your subscription active. Regular price increases do not affect Founders. The lock only breaks if you cancel and later re-subscribe — at that point you would be on the pricing available at re-subscribe time.
Do Founders get the same entity credits as a regular plan?▾
Yes — exactly the same amount, on the same schedule. Your credit grants don’t change with Founder Stage: 2 entity credits / month on Pro and 4 per seat / month on Firm (granted as a yearly batch on annual and lifetime). Founder Stage discounts your subscription price — it never changes how many credits you receive. Engagement balance top-ups and referral / promo credits also follow the same rules for every customer.
What happens to a member's Crew badge if they leave my firm?▾
By default, a member who leaves your firm keeps their Crew badge — it's a permanent record that they worked at a founding firm, reading 'Founding Member Crew' on their account. However, your firm has control over the badge: if you don't want a former member to carry it after they leave, contact founder@lodestartaxtech.com at any time and we'll cancel that member's Crew badge for you.
